This paper explores the integration of Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) and Grid-to-Vehicle (G2V) technology within a microgrid using Level 3 EV fast charging. By utilizing electric vehicle (EV) batteries as energy storage devices, excess energy is stored during low demand periods and fed back to the grid during peak demand.
The architecture includes a DC fast charging station interfacing with EVs, enabling V2G-G2V power transfer. Simulation studies demonstrate active power regulation and minimal harmonic distortion, with comparisons made between PI controller and Mamdani fuzzy logic for validation. This research showcases the potential of V2G technology to enhance energy management within microgrids.
